Refund Policy
(including Payment Disputes)

This Refund Policy (including Payment Disputes) applies to all paid products purchased from The Simplified Self. It should be read together with our Terms of Sale.

1. 14-day Money-Back Guarantee

At The Simplified Self, we're proud of the quality of our products and hope you're happy with your purchase however if you're not satisfied you can request a full refund of the purchase price, within 14 days of purchase. You don't need to provide a detailed explanation or prove something's wrong with the product. To request a refund, email admin@thesimplifiedself.com. Please include enough information for us to locate the purchase, such as the email address used to order and what product you're requesting a refund for. We aim to respond within two business days. A refund under our 14-day money-back guarantee is a full refund of the amount you paid to The Simplified Self for the product. Refunds are normally returned to the original payment method unless applicable law or the relevant payment provider requires another method.

2. What happens when a refund is approved

For a full refund:

  • the amount you paid to us for the relevant product will be refunded;

  • any remaining instalments for that refunded purchase will be cancelled;

  • access to hosted content associated with that purchase may end; and

  • the Personal Use Licence for the refunded digital product ends in accordance with our Terms of Sale.

Where reasonably practicable, you should then stop using and delete or destroy downloaded copies of the refunded digital product.

The time taken for money to appear in your account after we process a refund depends on your payment provider and financial institution.

Currency-conversion differences or fees independently charged by your bank or payment provider may be outside our control.

3. After 14 days

After 14 days, our money-back guarantee closes. Your rights under Australian Consumer Law and any other consumer-protection laws that apply to your purchase continue to apply. The end of our voluntary refund period does not mean that you lose a legal right to a refund or another remedy where the law provides one.

4. Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in this Policy excludes, restricts or modifies a consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot legally be excluded, restricted or modified.

If the Australian Consumer Law applies and a product doesn't meet an applicable consumer guarantee, you may be entitled to a remedy. Depending on what has been supplied and the seriousness of the problem, remedies may include rectification or re-supply, replacement, refund or cancellation. Where the law permits us to fix a minor problem first, we may do so within a reasonable time. Where the law gives you the right to choose a remedy, we will not use this Policy to remove that choice.

5. Technical or access problems

If a download link doesn't arrive, a file won't open or you cannot access content you purchased, email admin@thesimplifiedself.com. Where appropriate, we may first take reasonable steps to fix the problem, such as:

  • resending a download;

  • correcting a link;

  • restoring account access;

  • replacing a defective file; or

  • providing another suitable access method.

We aim to resolve ordinary technical problems promptly. If the problem cannot be fixed within a reasonable time, or consumer law gives you another remedy, your legal rights continue to apply. If you are still within the 14-day money-back guarantee window and would prefer a refund, you don't need to complete a troubleshooting process before requesting it.

6. Product not as described

We aim to describe each Digital Product accurately before purchase. If what you receive materially differs from what was represented on the product page, please contact us. Our money-back guarantee may apply within 14 days. Separate consumer-law rights may apply regardless of that period.

7. Duplicate or mistaken purchases

If you accidentally purchase the same Digital Product twice, please contact us. Where we confirm a genuine duplicate transaction, we will arrange an appropriate refund.

8. Instalment plans

If a Digital Product is purchased through an instalment plan and a full refund is approved under our goodwill policy, amounts already paid towards that purchase will be refunded and future instalments for that purchase will be cancelled. If another refund or remedy is required by law outside the guarantee period, the payment arrangement will be adjusted as required by that remedy. A failed instalment payment is handled under our Terms of Sale and does not remove your consumer rights.

9. EU and UK customers

If you are purchasing from the European Union or United Kingdom, our 14-day money-back guarantee operates alongside any mandatory local withdrawal or cancellation rights that apply. For some digital content supplied immediately, local law may allow a statutory withdrawal or cancellation right to be lost where the required express consent and acknowledgement are obtained before supply begins. Agreeing to immediate digital delivery does not reduce The Simplified Self's separate 14-day guarantee policy. If the legal requirements for loss of a statutory right have not been met, this Policy does not remove that right.

10. Chargebacks and payment-provider disputes

If something has gone wrong, you are welcome to contact us directly so we can try to resolve it quickly. Nothing in this Policy prevents you from exercising a right available through your bank, card provider, payment service, consumer regulator or applicable law. If a chargeback or payment dispute is already open, we may need to process the resolution through the relevant payment provider rather than issue a separate refund, so that the same transaction is not refunded twice. A chargeback or payment dispute does not remove your Australian Consumer Law rights. Where payment is finally reversed and you are no longer required to pay for a Digital Product, access and the Personal Use Licence may end in accordance with our Terms of Sale.

11. How to request a refund

Email: admin@thesimplifiedself.com.
Please provide:

  • the email address used for your purchase; and

  • the name of the product

You do not need to provide a long explanation for refund requested within 14 days of purchase. If your request relates to a product problem outside that period, a brief explanation of what happened will help us determine the appropriate next step or remedy.

12. Payment Issues and Payment Disputes

If you don’t recognise a charge, believe you’ve been charged incorrectly, haven’t received your digital product, or have another issue with a payment, please contact us at admin@thesimplifiedself.com so we can investigate and, where appropriate, resolve the issue. You may also have the right to raise a payment dispute or chargeback with your bank, card issuer or payment provider. Nothing in this policy prevents you from exercising that right. If a payment is disputed, we may provide information reasonably necessary to respond to the dispute to our payment processor, acquiring bank, card issuer or card network. This may include transaction and order details, the terms that applied at the time of purchase, records of digital delivery, download or access, and relevant communications with you. Any personal information will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable law. Once a chargeback or payment dispute has been opened, we may be unable to issue a separate refund for the same transaction while that dispute remains open. Any refund or reimbursement relating to an open dispute may need to be handled through the applicable payment-provider or card-issuer process. Our 14-day money-back guarantee is provided in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified.
